Olfactotherapy OSTMR
Olfactory Stimulation Therapy and Memory Reconstruction

As part of a personal development process or in addition to psychological support, practicing scent recognition and exposure to specific odors can significantly improve our quality of life.

Individual OSTMR Session

This olfactory therapy is based on emotional responses that help modify cognitive content and problematic behaviors. It also supports memory reconstruction and olfactory rehabilitation.

Working with specific scents, along with the personalized creation of synergies (emotional state vectors), helps improve the following areas:

  • Olfactory rehabilitation (quantitative dysosmias, including anosmia, or qualitative)
  • Improved sleep quality
  • Difficult life periods, life transitions, low self-confidence, sadness, fatigue, grief, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, etc.
  • Management of acute or chronic pain
  • Enhanced cognitive performance (burnout, neurodegenerative diseases)
  • Memory reconstruction

Let us not underestimate the power of scent in enhancing our quality of life.

Scents influence our emotions and memory, initially in an unconscious way, through the olfactory cortex of the limbic system, and are then processed consciously by the orbitofrontal cortex.

This is the famous example of Proust’s madeleine, so often cited as a reference.

In addition to my training in perfumery, intrigued and fascinated by the effect scents can have on our moods, I also completed a course in the OSTMR method (Olfactory Stimulation Therapy and Memory Reconstruction) at the École Supérieure du Parfum.
